About the Hubbard Center
The Hubbard Center for Faculty Development offers Appalachian faculty members a wide variety of services and programs that support professional growth and development. The Center reports to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Mission Statement
The William C. Hubbard Center for Faculty Development recognizes that each individual employed at Appalachian is a member of a learning community and that each member must be supported in the effort to become the best possible contributor to it. The Center recognizes that each member of the community is valuable in his or her own right and that each attempts to make a valuable contribution to the University.
At its core, the work of the Center is grounded in a belief in the wholeness of each person and that one can influence an individual’s life in a positive way for the benefit of the person and others in the community.
