Connections—October 2008

In addition to new buildings, parking lots, and organizational changes, Appalachian welcomes 2,775 new freshman and over 154 new faculty members. New faculty are faced with navigating a new campus, a new town, and new courses, and often miss opportunities to meet or interact with other faculty. This newsletter strives to connect some of our new faculty members with other faculty across campus by highlighting their teaching, research, and personal interests. As you read this issue, you may find a common teaching or research interest, discover a shared alma mater, or even locate a new tennis partner!
