Facilitated by:
Edison Midgett, Art
Nicole Bennett, Chemistry
Kate Brinko, Hubbard Center

This is the third year that the ASU Foundation has generously funded the Appalachian State University Foundation Fellows Grants. Grants of up to $5000 per faculty member can be used to advance your career in teaching, research, or service. The money can be used in a variety of ways, including travel, equipment, and support for a reduced teaching load or summer salary.

The Hubbard Center is pleased to announce this workshop to help participants prepare Foundation Fellows grant proposals. The grant program and selection process will be examined, and tips will be given as to how to prepare the application package. The call for proposals will be issued on October 1; proposals are due January 14, 2008.  The Hubbard Center will accept optional drafts on November 26.

Ed Midgett received the ASUFF grant in 2005-2006 and is professor in the Art Department. Nicole Bennett is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry. Both served on last year’s Foundation Fellows selection committee. Kate Brinko is the Interim Director of the Hubbard Center and served on the committee that formulated the guidelines for the Foundation Fellows Grants.

To register for this event, please call the Hubbard Center, ext. 6154,
or e-mail HubbardCtr@appstate.edu by November 9.
