Jim Street, Center for Student Involvement and Leadership

Small groups can improve student work or can waste precious class time. How can you ensure that your students perform to the best of their abilities when working in groups? In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of group dynamics and focus on practical strategies that will improve efficiency and outcomes of group work.

Norm Clark is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. He has taught group project-based courses for the past ten years, most of which have included a service-learning component, and has considerable experience using online technologies to facilitate group work.

Jim Street teaches courses in the Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling including Principles of Leadership, Leadership Study Abroad, and a Senior Capstone Seminar. He has also coordinated team development activities for classes, student organizations, departments, and businesses.
