Legal Issues Primer for Teaching Faculty

This workshop will cover legal requirements relevant to your duties as a faculty member or teaching assistant, including such issues as confidentiality of student and personnel records, sexual harassment, compliance with non-discrimination law (including the Americans with Disabilities Act), academic integrity, disruptive students, and syllabus requirements.

David Larry serves as Associate University Attorney and as Instructor in the Department of English, where he teaches law-related literature, film, and writing courses. He joined Appalachian in 1997, after more than twenty years of government and private law practice in Washington, DC.
